Meet the new face judges & 2026 Top Models
We are thrilled to announce a major evolution for this season’s model casting: a dynamic partnership with Want Management and the introduction of our official "Top Model" judging panel!
As we gear up for the runway, we are shaking up how we discover and support talent. This season, we are introducing a brand new category reserved specifically for our judging panel of models: The Top Models. They will also support the newly selected model roster throughout the season.
What is a "Top Model"?
This is more than just a title; it is a role central to our community. The "Top Model" designation is given to the season's judges. This group will serve as your go-to support system for the season, offering guidance and setting the standard for the runway. They will also be the first step of the casting Journey for our New Face Applicants! The Top Models will decide which of our new faces are ready to move up to the 10th floor for the final model casting. They are the first line of review before the official judging panel.
Year-Long Prestige: Selected models hold the title for the duration of the year, with the group being sorted or refreshed each season (two sets per year).
Exclusive Access: Top Models get early access to designers.
More Opportunity: By maintaining a smaller, curated roster of models, we ensure more focused opportunities for those selected. Based on the overwhelming feedback of the community we wanted to make sure being selected has the maximum chance for you to be on the runway.
Casting Logistics: How It Works?
With this new system, we are streamlining the casting process to ensure everyone gets the attention they deserve. Our Partnership with Want Management will give everyone at the casting an opportunity to be signed so bring your A game.
New Faces: Our Top Models will be exclusively responsible for selecting new faces who have applied this season to advance to the final casting.
Returning & Alumni: If you are a returning model or Alumni, you will bypass the initial selection and proceed directly to the 10th floor for final casting.

Alumni Update: Back to Our Roots
It’s been quite a journey reflecting on the recent changes to our model process. One area we've carefully re-evaluated is our Alumni Status.
Initially, this status was intended to be an exclusive tier for our exceptional models, adding another distinct layer to the model ecosystem. However, after much consideration—and in an effort to streamline how we recognize both prestige and identification—I've decided to shift our approach.
Moving forward, the title of Alumni will simply refer to any model who has walked a runway with Fashion Art Toronto.
It’s a straightforward change that brings us right back to the root of the word. Our roster is already incredibly powerful, and with the new operational changes and exciting partnerships on the horizon, our community is only going to get stronger!
