About the Collection

Rainbow, Illuminosity and the Dream is a multidisciplinary fashion and visual art collection that brings Indigenous futurism into conversation with ancestral knowledge, ecological consciousness, and radical creative vision.

Conceived as a living artwork, the collection moves across garment, image, and space, grounded in the understanding that land, light, and identity are inseparable.

Inspired by the full arc of the rainbow as both cultural symbol and scientific phenomenon, it unfolds through four distinct yet interconnected colour worlds, each exploring a different relationship between the body, the earth, and the futures already being imagined and built.

About the Designer

Ayimach Horizons is the fashion practice of Jason Baerg, a Cree-Métis artist, designer, educator, and creative technologist based in Toronto. A registered member of the Métis Nations of Ontario, Baerg brings Indigenous cosmologies, kinship with land, and interdisciplinary art practice into his design work. Through Ayimach Horizons, he approaches fashion as part of a larger cultural and artistic ecosystem, with collections shaped by natural cycles rather than conventional fashion seasons.

Baerg is also an Assistant Professor at OCAD University, where he teaches Indigenous Practices in Contemporary Painting and Media Art.
