About the Show
Moonlit Resilience is a tribute to the matriarchs who raised Agnes Yellow Bear—women who carried themselves with beauty, dignity, and unwavering strength, no matter what life asked of them. Inspired by their quiet power and enduring elegance, the collection reflects the belief that strength can be gentle and that true grace is revealed in how we move through hardship.
Rooted in memory, love, and lineage, Moonlit Resilience is a personal expression of Native elegance and a continuation of the women whose legacy lives on through the work.
About the Designer
Agnes Yellow Bear is a Nehiyaw (Plains Cree) designer from Treaty 4 Territory and a member of Kawacatoose First Nation. A self-taught seamstress now based in North Dakota on MHA Nation, she creates work that honors Indigenous identity, matriarchal strength, and the living continuity of culture across Turtle Island. Her designs have been featured in leading publications including Vogue, InStyle, Bust, Elle Canada, and Soirée Fashion Magazine, and have appeared in exhibitions exploring social justice, resistance, and healing through cloth.
Known for her powerful appliqué work, Yellow Bear approaches sewing as both creative practice and personal medicine—an act of remembrance, resilience, and cultural affirmation.
